The Oyster Bar’s Best Soups for Lunch

Raise your dining experience to new heights with our soups! Whether you prefer nourishing creamy structure or light vegetable broth, you’ll find the best option. Soups are essential in any diet because they reduce cancer risk and help to balance body weight.

Lobster Bisque (Cup —8.25 $, Bowl — 12.50 $)

With slightly sweet lobster meat, this velvety smooth creamy soup will capture your imagination from the first spoon! Cheese enthusiasts particularly like this classic dish French dish due to savory goat cheese gougère.

Cooked to a sweet, delicate buttery perfection, lobster meat is tender and fragrant. We deep fry it at high temperatures to preserve meat tenderness.

A creamy and delicious gougère filling of the goat cheese adds new zest to the soup.  The gourgères are French cheese puffs made from pâte à choux pastry dough.

To intensify more its creamy taste, we add to the dish a little bit of cream.

Fresh chives, a green herb related to onions, act as contrasting tasty decorations that brigs color and oniony flavor to this nourishing dish.

Parsnip and Pear Soup (Cup — 6.75 $, Bowl — 11.50 $)

Wonderfully wholesome, this vegetarian dish is a special delight due to its somewhat unusual combination of fruit and vegetables. This mix makes the soup very energetic and rich in vitamins.

Our vegetable stock consists of a classic base of chopped-up onion, carrot, celery, and fennel.

Creamy-colored parsnips, root vegetables of the carrot family, beautify the soup and add special sweetness.

The delicate taste balance is achieved with the original touch of calvados with pistachio pesto and fresh thyme. The topping with fresh ripe pears is the best part that adds special honeyed sweetness!

This dish is loaded with vitamins and good-for-you fiber. It will be the perfect choice for vegans because it’s dairy-free.

If you want to enhance your dinner with more vitamins, consider complementing either of these soups with Mixed Seasonal Greens (11.00 $) with toasted walnuts, bleu cheese, red onions, gala apples, and seedless grapes with a maple cider vinaigrette.

Featured Wine: Domaine Magdalena Cabernet Sauvignon

(Bin #1114 $87) This sophisticated, balanced Washington Red is everything a Cabernet from Red Mountain should be. It’s fine tannins accent the beautiful notes of blackberry, rose petal and earth. Domaine Magdalena is not only beautifully made but also thoughtfully made. The wine undergoes wild yeast fermentation, is unfiltered and is Demeter certified biodynamic. This wine can stand alone but would pair nicely with so many of our dishes including our vegetarian and wild game options.
